Michelle Porche

Michelle Porche co-founded MTA in 2016 with Daniel. She earned her Master’s of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at San Diego State University, with an emphasis in psychiatric rehabilitation.

She also studied law, earning her degree and practicing law for over a decade. She uses her personal and professional experience to advocate for others.

Daniel Cox

Daniel Cox co-founded MTA in 2016, with Michelle. He wears many hats at MTA, functioning as our Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. He is also a retired U.S. Marine with a background managing programs in both sexual assault prevention and substance abuse reduction.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from National University and has served on our board since its inception in 2016.

Karen Wilshe

Karen Wilshe is a retired Information Technology executive. She and a group of parents worked with San Diego Unified School District to create a Speech Language Intensive program for children with high functioning autism.

Over the years, Karen has supported and advised families of children with special needs. Her experience and passion for children with disabilities is priceless and as one of the original members of the board, she brings a wealth of knowledge to MTA.

Raymond Provost

Raymond Provost currently works as a Project Manager and Electrical Engineer for the United States Navy, overseeing a team that creates custom solutions for engineering challenges.

After 15 years of service, Raymond retired from the United States Marine Corps. As the most recent addition to the MTA board, he agreed to use his considerable skills and leadership to head our Africa Initiative!

Mitchell Porche

Mitchell Porche is an entrepreneur, MTA consultant and co-sponsor of this mission. As a family member of Michelle’s and MTA’s primary benefactor, his perspective and support are invaluable.

He studied Business Administration and Finance at San Diego State University earning his Bachelor’s degree in 1995.

Anna Sagatov

Anna Sagatov is a documentary director and story producer. An award-winning filmmaker, underwater cinematographer, and science communicator, she tells stories that connect people to science, nature, and causes that make a positive impact.
